Our Pineal Gland is a small rice sized endocrine gland located in the middle of our brain, it's shaped like a pine cone, hence the name. The gland produces melatonin, so the gland can greatly affect our sleep, mood and energy. This class includes numerous forward folds that will increase blood flow to the brain and Pineal Gland. We would consider this class to be a Level 1/2 or Intermediate class. Poses include Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog), Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend), Ardha Uttanasana (Half Standing Forward Fold), Makarasana (Dolphin Pose), Matsyasana (Fish Pose), Forearm Plank and more. As always practice safely. Enjoy!
