Kim's Mellowing Forward Folds
Beginner Classes
•
22m
Kim is back with a short and basic flow focused on taking advantage of forward fold postures. Forward folds are beneficial in a number of ways. Folds are known to help release stress and tension and they also offer a nice stretch for the hamstrings and calves. If you have any significant back issues or injuries, you should consult your doctor before trying most forward fold postures. This class is short and sweet for the yogi on the go, it's just 22 minutes in length and then you're on your way with the rest of your day. Poses include Adho Mukha Svanasana(Downward-Facing Dog), Uttanasana (Standing Forward Fold), Ardha Uttanasana (Standing Half Forward Fold), Prasarita Padottanasana (Wide Legged Foward Fold), Paschimottanasana (Seated Forward Fold), Urdhva Prasarita Eka Padasana (Standing Splits) and more. As always practice safely. Enjoy!
