Moon Salutations in Sanskrit are known as “Chandra Namaskara”. Unlike the Sun Salutation, Moon Flows are meant to be cooling and quiet. Moon Salutations can help pull your thoughts inward and calm the mind. There are many Moon Flow sequences and most focus on the lower body, it's also popular to practice Moon Salutations in the evening as a way to soothe the mind. This class should work for most beginners. Poses include Adho Mukha Svanasana (Downward-Facing Dog), Uttanasana (Standing Forward Bend), Marjariasana/Bitilasana (Cat/Cow Pose), Tadasana (Mountain Pose), Uttana Shishosana (Puppy Pose), Low Lunge and more.
